Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Civil Engineer to join its East Design team in Columbus, OH. You will lead civil engineering designs for Amazon data centers, overseeing consultants, coordinating with architects and MEP engineers, and developing robust site layouts to support scalable cloud infrastructure.

Competenze

• Professional Engineer license and a civil/related engineering degree.
• 6+ years of site-civil design experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration to deployment.

Mansioni

• Lead external civil design consultants through data center design and construction.
• Review site layout, grading, power substations, storm water and utilities.
• Coordinate with internal and external design engineers (architectural, structural, MEP).
• Develop site layout concepts using Civil 3D and ensure design evolves flexibly.
• Communicate design standards and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain design standards, prototypes, and templates for data center sites.
• Create, review, and release design RFPs for DC projects and related facilities.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects and align TPM expectations on cost/schedule.
• Lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, schedule, and consistency.
• Travel for site assessments and design/construction meetings.
