Job summary

Florida Blue's Senior IT Database Administrator role demands expert SQL, data modeling, and leadership in large-scale database environments. You will consult across IT, design backup/recovery, and guide other DBAs while aligning with enterprise objectives.

As part of a hybrid Florida-based team, you will manage complex databases, implement disaster recovery, and optimize performance, delivering reliable data services and strategic value to members and the community we support.

Qualifications

7+ years related work experience.
Expert proficiency in SQL programming.
Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated through project or technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Consults on database, architecture and related infrastructure technologies.
Provides technical leadership on implementation of leading-edge database technologies.
Develops and ensures compliance with system disaster recovery and security policies.
Writes complex programming/scripts.
Provide production support for outages, restore/recovery events.
Monitor and evaluate database performance and adjust configuration.
