Job summary

Infinite Computer Solutions seeks a Senior Db2 DBA to lead the cDB2 migration for the EBV platform running on OpenShift. The candidate will design, migrate and support DB2 databases in a containerized environment, collaborating with platform and application teams.

This on-site role is based in Atlanta, with additional openings in Charlotte and Raleigh. Candidates should have 7+ years as a DB2 DBA (z/OS or LUW), hands-on OpenShift or Kubernetes experience, strong SQL tuning, and proven scheduling

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a DB2 DBA (z/OS and/or LUW).
• Experience running Db2/Db2U on OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
• Hands-on scheduling experience with CRON and ESP.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer DB2 database (design, build, migrate, tune, backup/restore).
• Support DB2 on OpenShift (Db2U): Developments, storage, basic monitoring.
• Assist with data migration from existing cDB2 to DB2 on OpenShift.
• Use CRON and ESP for jobs and maintenance.
• Configure and support Q Replication (QREP) for DB2 (nice to have).
• Troubleshoot performance and stability issues across DB and platform.

Location Atlanta / Charlotte / Raleigh (No Remote)

Role Summary:

We need an experienced Db2 DBA to support the cDB2 migration on the EBV platform running on OpenShift. He/ She will design, migrate and support DB2 databases in a containerized environment, working closely with platform and application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

We need someone with OPEN SHIFT Experience. Like to know what experience the resource has for Migrating onPREM DB2 to RED HAT OPEN SHIFT Platform.

• Administer DB2 database (design, build, migrate, tune, backup/restore).
• Support DB2 on OpenShift (Db2U): Developments, storage, basic monitoring
• Assist with data migration from existing cDB2 to DB2 on OpenShift.
• Use CRON and ESP (or similar schedulers) for jobs and maintenance.
• (Good to have) configure and support Q Replication (QREP) for DB2
• Troubleshoot performance and stability issues across DB and platform.

Required skills:

• 7+ years as a DB2 DBA (z/OS and/ or LUW)
• Practical experience running Db2/Db2U on OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
