Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a senior database engineer to support federal government projects, designing and implementing database structures, parsers, and loading software. You’ll translate requirements into scalable schemas and lead data architecture decisions from inception to IOC.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance, a technical bachelor’s degree, and 10 years DBE experience. Proficiency in Python, MongoDB, Django/Flask, REST endpoints, and cloud services (AWS or similar) is essential.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph is required.
• Ten years experience as a DBE in programs of similar scope is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with MongoDB, Django or Flask.
• Experience building REST endpoints and microservices.
• Familiarity with Swagger, AWS or other cloud platforms, Docker, and VS Code.
• Knowledge of JSON/XML serialization; experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Git version control; Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities.
• Support the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts.
• Support the development of long and short term requirements for database administration and design.
• Assist in developing databases and database loading software.
• Translate requirements into a usable database schema and manage queries/macros.
