Job summary

Peregrine Advisors is seeking a senior database engineer to own the database layer of a federal enterprise data platform. You will design physical models, tune queries, and ensure scalable performance across Aurora, DynamoDB, and Iceberg-backed stores.

You will implement schema migrations, security controls, and data-loading patterns while working in a hybrid Washington, DC-based environment. A strong focus on auditability in a regulated setting is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of database development and administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible), DynamoDB, and S3 with Apache Iceberg tables.
• Ability to design, tune, and model data at scale in a regulated environment with auditability.
