Job summary

Peregrine Advisors is a data and technology innovation hub focused on delivering for the US public. You will build and maintain queries, procedures, and views on Amazon Aurora, working with DynamoDB and S3, while adhering to governance and auditability standards.

You will start by implementing reliable data plumbing and gradually assume ownership of physical design, with a hybrid work arrangement in the Washington, DC area and regular commuting to DC.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of database development experience.
• SQL on Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible).
• Stored procedures, views, and query tuning.
• Data loading (S3 into platform stores) and ODBC/JDBC connectivity.
• Basic proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable SQL, stored procedures, and views on Amazon Aurora.
• Tune queries and optimize data loads and connectivity.
• Work with DynamoDB, S3, and Iceberg tables under governed access.
• Grow toward owning physical design of data stores.
