Job summary

HeartShare Day Hab seeks a Facilities Technician II to perform maintenance and repairs across internal and external facilities. The role requires hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, plus the ability to work independently and safely in a nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities include executing work orders, coordinating with vendors, maintaining asset inventories, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of handyman duties, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and building codes.
• Familiarity with safety standards for ADA, DEP, DOB, OPWDD, OFPC, etc.
• Experience reporting via automated facilities management systems (TheWorxHub).
• Strong administrative and record-keeping skills; petty cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily work orders prioritized by the Assistant Director of Facilities - Day Hab.
• Lead on assigned work orders, purchase materials, plan execution.
• Meet contractors and vendors on-site to ensure work completion.
• Provide 24-hour emergency repair response and coordinate related activities.
• Maintain and repair interiors and exteriors, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Record completion notes and photos in TheWorxHub on the day work is performed.
