EXL is seeking a Sr. Cloud DBA Specialist to manage Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL across production and non-production environments. The role emphasizes high availability, performance tuning, and cloud integration in a US remote setting.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong Linux, scripting, and experience with AI-driven automation and GenAI-enabled database optimization. Willingness to collaborate with product teams and support on-call rotations is required.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on Sr. DBA experience with Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in RDBMS installations, patching, and upgrades.
• Performance tuning in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience managing large databases (>50 TB).
• Cloud technologies administration: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks (Good to have).
• Tools: Datadog, NewRelic, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c+, Toad.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills.

• Install, configure, and monitor databases; ensure security and audit compliance.
• Optimize performance (SQL/PLSQL), troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Design and implement data models, mirroring, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Automate processes using Shell, PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Perl.
• Collaborate with application teams and vendors for DB solutions.
• Provide 24x7 support, including on-call and weekend coverage.
• Stay current with industry trends, Cloud technologies, and AI/GenAI advancements.

Critical Skills (Must Haves)

• Hands-on Sr. DBA experience with:
• Oracle (Single Instance/RAC, Multitenant, Active Data Guard)
• SQL Server
• PostgreSQL
• Expertise in RDBMS installations, patching, and upgrades
• Performance tuning in SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience managing large databases (>50 TB)
• Cloud technologies Administration experience: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks (Good to have)
• Tools: Datadog, NewRelic, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c+, Toad
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
• Knowledge and experience with AI/GenAI technologies (e.g., AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, database optimization using AI)
• Ability to leverage GenAI for operational efficiency, such as automating repetitive DBA tasks and enhancing DevOps pipelines.
• Exposure to AI in cloud ecosystems (AWS AI services, Azure Cognitive Services) for advanced database management.
• Cloud tech experience with S3 buckets and file transfers
• Managing and upgrading Oracle APEX (Plus)
• Knowledge of MongoDB and other RDBMS
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Compliance management and audit support experience

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases in production and non-production environments.

• Design and implement data models, mirroring, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Automate processes using scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Perl).
• Collaborate with application teams and vendors for database solutions and lifecycle management.
• Provide 24x7 support, including on-call rotation and weekend coverage.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging Cloud technologies, and AI/GenAI advancements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) .

Experience

• 8+ years as a Senior DBA with expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other RDBMS, along with Linux infrastructure management.
• 3+ years hands-on Administration experience with:
