Job summary

DTCC in Boston is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Database Engineering to support CTM and SIM, critical post-trade platforms. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable database and application solutions for high-volume environments.

You will drive cloud-first modernization using AWS, improve resiliency and performance, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with Agile teams. Strong Oracle and PostgreSQL experience, Java development, and scripting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software engineering or related roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale, high-volume transactional apps.
• Strong Oracle and PostgreSQL development experience.
• Experience with Java, Linux/Unix, AWS, and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database solutions.
• Build and support high-volume OLTP systems.
• Develop data models, SQL queries, PL/SQL, procedures, views.
• Collaborate with teams using Java, JDBC, JMS.
• Support cloud-first modernization with AWS.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
