IDT is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Database Engineer to join our database services team. This role involves performing database analysis, design, and administration functions to support strategic projects aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, Couchbase, or PostgreSQL in an enterprise environment.

To succeed in IDT's dynamic environment, candidates must be self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of defining, planning, and executing long-term goals to support IDT's enterprise and technology initiatives. Excellent communication, problem-solving, multitasking, troubleshooting skills, logical thinking, and attention to detail are essential.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science
2. 8-10 years of DBA experience
3. Deep experience with Oracle, MongoDB, or MySQL databases
4. Experience with databases hosted on Linux
5. Knowledge of database architecture and high availability solutions
6. Experience with Amazon RDS platform
7. Ability to troubleshoot application issues and design database objects
8. Nice to have: prior experience with system or network administration, PostgreSQL, or Couchbase

Note: Expertise in MongoDB is highly valued, even if experience with Oracle or MySQL is limited.

Responsibilities:

1. Database administration tasks including provisioning new MongoDB clusters
2. Collaborate with developers to design collections, indexes, and SQL queries
3. Perform software installation, patches, and upgrades
4. Manage database schema changes, tuning, replication, backup, and recovery
5. Provide 24x7 support as part of the DBA on-call rotation
