Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Database Automation Engineer for a hybrid schedule in Charlotte, NC with a 12+ month contract for a global financial institution. The role focuses on database automation, security, and leveraging Python, Linux, and AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL in an agile Scrum environment.

The candidate will work onsite at least three days per week, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to secure database operations and CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer or other database developer.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux, REST API, AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL.
• Strong knowledge of database security concepts (encryption, auditing, entitlements, password vaulting).
• Familiarity with Scrum, Agile practices, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
