Genesis10 is seeking a Senior SQL Server Administrator for a hybrid role in Plano, TX. This 12+ month contract position requires expert design, development and implementation of complex SQL Server solutions and leadership across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will own SQL Server performance, tune AlwaysOn environments, and drive operational excellence in a project-driven setting. Banking experience and strong ownership are highly valued.

Qualifications

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior SQL Server Administrator for a hybrid position (3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role serves as a subject matter expert for SQL Server Administration, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex database solutions. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, provide technical leadership, and focus on performance tuning for large, high-tier environments within a project-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex database solutions, often leveraging new technologies
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the team
• Manage multiple, moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations
• Take responsibility for troubleshooting, process improvement, and operational excellence
• Work under minimal supervision on complex problems where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
• Provide work leadership by assigning work and resolving problems

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with SQL Server Administration
• Experience with AlwaysOn performance and tuning, including for large high-tier environments
• Previous banking experience, preferably on the Application DBA side
• Strong sense of problem ownership and client accountability
• Proven ability to deliver within a project-driven environment with minimal or no supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Desired skills:

• Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting (Shell, Python)
• Experience automating operational tasks, monitoring, and maintenance activities related to NoSQL environments (e.g., TigerGraph)

Pay range:

$58.32 - $66.32 per hour
