Leidos is seeking a Sr. Database Engineer in its Cyber & Analytics Business Area in the INTEL SECTOR. You will lead database architecture, modeling, and performance optimization for large distributed systems, collaborating with agile teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires extensive experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL, cloud integrations, and DoD clearance eligibility. Competitive benefits accompany this senior engineering position in a fast-paced national security

Formación

• 12+ years in similar scope projects (BS), or 10+ years with MS
• Active DoD Secret clearance with potential TS/SCI in future
• 10+ years as a database administrator and 6+ years designing DB architectures
• Hands-on with Oracle or PostgreSQL in highly available environments
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Hybrid)

Responsabilidades

• Analyze system requirements to develop architecture and specs
• Create configuration docs including capacity planning and risk assessments
• Provide database engineering leadership for large distributed systems
• Collaborate with Agile teams across engineering and management
• Design and administer normalized database schemas and security compliance
• Implement and maintain database environments (install, upgrade, patch, create objects, tune)
• Ensure system reliability via monitoring and backups
• Forecast future database needs and contribute to program planning
