Job summary

University of Cincinnati seeks a Database Administrator Lead to serve as a senior technical authority for enterprise data engineering, database technologies, and cloud data platforms. You will define standards, patterns, architecture, and engineering practices for scalable data pipelines and AI-ready data products.

You will lead complex initiatives, guide engineers, and ensure data quality, security, and governance across modernization, migration, and enterprise platform efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of relevant work experience or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex database design, performance, reliability, tuning and sizing.
• Coordinate the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT solutions.
• Oversee upgrades, security, and access control across database environments.
• Mentor colleagues; participate in reviews and standards development.
• Develop and maintain complex reports and visualizations.
