Job summary

CCC Intelligent Solutions seeks a Lead Database Platform Engineer to guide strategy, architecture, reliability, and modernization of our enterprise database ecosystem. This hybrid Chicago-area role partners with Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Architecture, and Product teams to ensure secure, highly available, scalable data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience leading database environments, strong SQL Server expertise, and a track record in cloud migrations and automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading enterprise-scale database environments.
• Experience with SQL Server, cloud-native databases, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience implementing disaster recovery, security controls, and platform lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead database platform strategy and roadmap for CCC's enterprise ecosystem.
• Design, implement, and optimize SQL Server and cloud-native databases.
• Mentor and lead a team of database engineers and offshore resources.
• Partner with SRE, DevOps, Architecture, and Product Development for available, scalable solutions.
• Drive automation for deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning.
