Job summary

Talentify in New York, NY seeks an Expert Database Architect and L2 Technical Operational Support for NYS ITS on behalf of NYS Department of Transportation. You will design data infrastructure, integrate data sources, and participate in the SSDLC to deliver secure, scalable database solutions.

You will collaborate with agency SMEs, vendors, and IT teams to meet milestones, optimize ODI/ELT/ETL processes, and ensure quality across design, build, and deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing data architectures for large-scale data ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of ODI/ELT/ETL processes and data integration strategies.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interact with subject matter experts to define data requirements and system specs.
• Design data infrastructure to extract and organize data for authorized access.
• Identify data sources and determine storage and organization needs.
• Participate in SSDLC including debugging and configuration of solutions.
• Identify and implement ODI/ELT and ETL process improvements.
• Review design deliverables and ensure conformance to architecture.
• Manage build phase and quality assure code against requirements.
• Resolve complex design and development issues; identify bugs.
• Determine requirements for new databases and installation approaches.
• Publish and present design reports to stakeholders.
• Audit systems to maintain quality and security; coordinate milestones.
• Write clean, testable code and perform testing and debugging.
• Deploy fully functional applications and track changes via ticketing system.
