Job summary

Avalore is seeking a Database Engineer (DBE) to provide technical leadership in database design, development, implementation, and data analysis within a DoD-focused program in Maryland. The role shapes relational and object-oriented database structures, coordinates data flow, and ensures security and performance in a cloud-enabled environment.

Required are ten years of DBE experience, a technical bachelor’s degree (or five years substitute), and an active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Qualifications

• DBE experience across complex database systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• DoD 8570.01-M IA compliance is required.
• Five years of DBE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities
• Support the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts
• Lead development of database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development
• Develop a database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, etc.
