Job summary

State of Oregon, through the Oregon Health Authority, seeks a Database Analyst (ISS 7) to lead advanced database administration across SQL Server on-premises and Azure. You will design, implement, and optimize resilient data platforms to support critical government programs.

The role requires coordinating with vendors, guiding projects, ensuring security, compliance (HIPAA, CJIS), and applying automation via PowerShell, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Six years of information systems experience with enterprise database administration and SQL Server or equivalent.
• Experience in on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments with backup, security, and performance tuning.
• Educational pathway aligned with information technology or computer science, plus related work experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for all of the above.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, develop, integrate, implement, and maintain DBMS infrastructure.
• Lead projects, coordinate with vendors, and ensure contract compliance and security.
• Provide mentoring, documentation, and technical guidance to teams.
