Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Lead Database Administrator to oversee Oracle, SQL and Cache databases across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. The role includes design, implementation, monitoring, and 24/7 on-call support within a busy healthcare setting.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in CS/IS, 5+ years of systems/database admin experience, and familiarity with PeopleSoft or Epic projects; on-site three days per week at Temple Health Women’s and Families Hospital in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred or combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
• 5 years experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows shell scripting and database management required.
• 5 years experience with Oracle/SQL/Cache management, tuning and configuration.
• 1 year healthcare/hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technical team and provide 24/7 on-call support.
• Design, implement, monitor, and maintain Oracle/SQL/Cache databases across UNIX/Linux/Windows environments.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and backup/recovery planning.
• Ensure data security and compliance for protected information assets.
• Develop and maintain database standards and documentation.
