Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a senior database engineer to help shape and scale a new data warehousing product within the Redshift team. You will collaborate with customers on database design, usage patterns, and performance, contributing to a scalable cloud solution.

You will drive workload analysis, performance benchmarks, and troubleshooting, and you will influence the roadmap while communicating complex topics clearly to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with large-scale data analytics and data warehousing

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic data architecture and database design discussions with customers
• Drive workload analysis, performance benchmarking, and troubleshooting with customers
• Clearly communicate deep technical topics to customers
• Influence the engineering roadmap toward scalable, easy-to-use product
• Conduct POC’s with customers in competitive situations
• Leverage coding/scripting skills to automate tasks and improve workload analysis
