Job summary

Skyward is seeking a Senior Database Developer in the United States to lead data architecture, governance, and secure data delivery for government contracts. You will design and manage a central data repository, implement robust data quality measures, and automate reporting pipelines to provide reliable insights.

You should have 8+ years of database experience, strong SQL, experience with data frameworks, AWS familiarity, and the ability to interact with a federal client and COR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in database development or data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in complex queries, performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience building data architectures, governance, and secure access controls.

Responsibilities

• Be the human Rosetta Stone between raw data and real insight for federal contracts.
• Build and guard a central data repository and data warehouse.
• Cleanse and validate data, eliminating duplicates and ensuring data quality.
• Set up access controls with least privilege for data security.
• Develop backup and disaster-recovery plans for data resilience.
• Automate data collection, transformation, and reporting pipelines.
• Maintain a living data dictionary and naming conventions.
• Serve as primary point of contact for government Contracting Officer and COR.
• Monitor contract progress and coordinate with analysts and stakeholders.
