Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA seeks a Data Engineer to build and maintain data infrastructure and analytics environments across the Enterprise Data and Analytics team. The incumbent will ensure data movement, transformation, and quality from multiple sources toward analytical consumption.

Initial projects include migrating infrastructure to Microsoft Fabric with future expansion of the data platform for dynamic reporting and advanced analytics capabilities across clinical and operational domains.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• English communication skills required.
• 3+ years with SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehousing.
• 3+ years hands-on ETL tools or BI experience.
• 2+ years creating data pipelines with Python.
• 2+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams within a health system.
