Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department. You will implement and maintain the data infrastructure, ensuring data movement, transformation, and quality across multiple source systems for analytic use.

The role includes contributing to the Microsoft Fabric migration and future expansion of the data platform to support dynamic reporting and advanced analytics capabilities. Strong communication and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with SQL or NoSQL databases and data warehousing technologies
• 3+ years hands-on experience with ETL Tools or Business Intelligence
• 2+ years of hands-on experience creating data pipelines using Python
• 2+ years hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the infrastructure, tools, and analytical application environments for the UCI Health enterprise data platform
• Work on a team of data specialists to ensure correct data movement, transformation, and quality across source systems to analytical consumption
• Lead migration to Microsoft Fabric and expand the data platform for dynamic reporting and advanced analytics
