Job summary

ON Data Staffing seeks a Principal Data Consulting Lead to help enterprise organisations modernise data platforms and build scalable cloud data solutions. This senior, client-facing role combines data strategy, cloud architecture, consulting and delivery oversight to design modern data platforms and establish foundations for AI across enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, cloud platforms or technical consulting.
• 5+ years of client-facing consulting or professional services experience.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modelling, data warehousing and cloud data architecture.
• Experience with modern platforms including BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of data engineering tools such as dbt, Airflow, Spark, Dataflow or Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data strategy, architecture and modernisation engagements.
• Design scalable cloud data platforms, data warehouses and lakehouse solutions.
• Guide technical decisions across ingestion, transformation, orchestration, governance and security.
• Provide technical leadership to Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers.
• Advise clients on cloud migration, data platform optimisation and architecture best practices.
• Support technical discovery, presales, solution proposals and project scoping.
• Establish engineering standards across data quality, performance, scalability and cost optimisation.
• Design data foundations that support advanced analytics, machine learning and enterprise AI.
