Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director, Data Steward to lead governance and data modeling for commercial data foundations in Cambridge, MA. You will own gold-level models, metrics, and the single source of truth while enabling scalable data products across Value Teams.

You will collaborate with Advanced Analytics, AI/ML Engineering, and engineering to ensure stable inputs, lineage, and documentation, emphasizing disciplined change control and fast delivery.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 9+ years in data engineering, data architecture, analytics engineering, or data governance.
• Deep experience with gold-layer data modeling and conformed dimensions.
• Advanced SQL and hands-on dbt experience with tests, docs, and reviews.
• Experience governing metrics, lineage, access controls, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver governed data products that scale across franchises and markets.
• Own gold-level data modeling and architecture for commercial domains.
• Establish single source of truth metrics with lineage and documentation.
• Own analytics engineering standards for dbt, tests, and performance.
• Ensure data quality with automated tests and incident remediation.
• Define data products with SLAs for freshness and availability.
• Partner with Advanced Analytics and AI/ML Eng to stabilize features.
• Use Jira and GitHub to manage dbt projects and artifacts.
