Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director of Commercial Technology & Data Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering data platforms, integrations, and analytics for Commercial Ops and Marketing. You will own the commercial data spine, ensure governance, and partner with Platform Engineering and AI teams to align with enterprise standards.

The role requires 10+ years in data/software/platform engineering, 5+ years of team leadership, and strong experience with the modern

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of progressive experience in data, software, or platform engineering, with at least 5 years leading technical teams.
4+ years building data pipelines and platform integrations for commercial functions; pharma/life sciences preferred.
Experience leading engineering teams in an Agile delivery model across multiple pods.
Hands-on with the modern data stack and cloud-native orchestration.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the roadmap for commercial data and engineering capabilities.
Lead engineering for Commercial and partner with IT vertical for Commercial.
Build scalable data products supporting Commercial Ops, Marketing, Patient Services, Market Access, and Analytics.
Scale data governance and ensure regulatory compliance across Commercial domains.
Oversee delivery of CRM, Patient Services, omnichannel engagement, and data integration into the enterprise ecosystem.
