Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Principal Solution Architect, Data to define and scale enterprise data architectures. You will shape how data platforms, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions align with business goals across underwriting, enrollment, billing, claims, and customer service.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Product, Cybersecurity, and Platform teams to ensure resilient, compliant, and scalable designs.

Qualifications

• Design and govern enterprise-scale architectures across multiple teams.
• Define and drive adoption of architecture standards, frameworks, and reusable patterns.
• Bridge business strategy and technology direction with strong communication.
• Experience in Agile/product-based delivery and data product initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise architecture strategy and define standards across platforms.
• Maintain reference architectures and golden paths for delivery.
• Establish guardrails for scalable, secure design across teams.
• Drive adoption with solution architects and portfolio leaders.
• Lead design decisions for high-impact initiatives spanning value streams.
• Ensure governance, security, and compliance requirements are embedded.
