Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Data (Starlink) to build a scalable data platform connected to Starlink’s global internet service.

You will own end-to-end data pipelines, ingesting and processing petabyte-scale datasets while collaborating on architecture and design with a team of engineers. You will work on applications enabling better analytics for customers and internal stakeholders, leveraging modern big data technologies and ML concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or scientific discipline; OR 7+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform enabling ingestion, processing, storage, and petabyte-scale queries
• Create end-to-end data pipelines and new functionality to improve SpaceX operations
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Build prototypes to validate design concepts and constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into business problems and apply first principles thinking
