Starlink is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data to advance our satellite internet data capabilities. You will own and build scalable data pipelines, ingesting and processing at petabyte scale, while collaborating across architecture and product teams.

You will bring 5+ years in data engineering or software development, with expertise in Spark, Kafka, and modern data visualization tools, contributing to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, engineering, math, physics, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software experience.
• 5+ years in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science.
• Experience with Scala/Java/C#/Python/Go.
• Frontend experience with Angular/React or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Kafka/Spark/Flink and data processing frameworks.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform empowering users to ingest, process, store, and query at petabyte-scale.
• Create new functionality and end-to-end data pipelines that improve how the business operates.
• Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into business problems, find efficient solutions and apply first principles thinking.
