Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Starlink program to design, develop, and optimize a petabyte-scale data platform and end-to-end data pipelines.

You'll work closely with a team of engineers on architecture, code reviews, and prototypes, owning key software components while embracing SpaceX's mission to expand global broadband and support communities worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, data science, engineering, math, physics, or related field; or 7+ years of software experience.
• 5+ years of experience in full stack, software engineering, data engineering, or data science.

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly scalable data platform for ingesting, processing, storing, and querying at petabyte-scale.
• Create end-to-end data pipelines to improve SpaceX operations.
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into business problems, apply first principles thinking.
