Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Data Services team to elevate our database systems, working hands-on with Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, and Kafka, and building automation around large-scale cloud-based systems.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to resolve time-sensitive production issues and ensure data safety, security, and availability across petabytes of data.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale datastores using Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL.
• Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
• Experience operating within cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI).
• Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a deep understanding of data components (Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and operate/automate clusters.
• Develop infrastructure services to support a full DevOps model.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues.
• Keep petabytes of critical data safe, secure, and available.
