Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in the Data Security Group to act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and the sales team. You will lead technical discovery, design comprehensive People-Centric security solutions, and drive Proofpoint’s data protection portfolio across email, cloud, and endpoints.

You will partner with specialists and account teams, deliver impactful POC and production evaluations, and play a pivotal role in customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling solutions as a Sales Engineer in data security/insider risk.
• Strong understanding of the cybersecurity market landscape and competition.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree; CISSP or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Sales Specialists and Account Teams on account strategies.
• Be the main technical contact during POC, evaluations, and deployments.
• Design and champion People-Centric Security solutions (DLP, Insider Risk, DSPM).
• Assist in services deployments, training, and industry seminars as needed.
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and PM for success.
