Job summary

AE Business Solutions is seeking a Data Security Engineer to help protect sensitive data across enterprise systems and platforms. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers up to $155K when converted to FTE status, with health insurance, PTO, and 401K match available during the contract portion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• One or more certifications such as CISSP, CISM welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement data security standards.
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise data security solutions (DLP, encryption, governance).
• Apply data discovery, classification, encryption, masking, tagging, and governance knowledge.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for data security threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy data protection measures.
• Provide guidance on privacy management and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure data security KPIs are tracked, measured, and reported.
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents with corrective actions.
• Review policies for regulatory changes and evolving best practices.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
