Job summary

AE Business Solutions is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security for cloud environments. This role will establish secure configurations, strengthen defenses, automate security operations, and respond to incidents and vulnerabilities.

The position may align with multiple cybersecurity levels, with placement based on qualifications. During the contract period, health insurance and PTO are possible; conversion offers up to $150,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Equivalent combos of degree, military or cybersecurity certs may be considered.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH or CISM are a plus.
• At least 2 years of cybersecurity experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish secure cloud configuration standards and layered defenses.
• Design and manage security solutions across cloud environments.
• Develop cloud security policies aligned with frameworks.
• Automate security ops and respond to incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor logs, report KPIs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
