Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Senior Engineer - Infrastructure Operations, Data Security to engineer, automate, and support secure, resilient infrastructure services across Linux/Windows and cloud environments. You will work with security, infrastructure, network, cloud, database, and application teams to modernize operations and reduce risk.

The role focuses on AI-enabled automation, MCP servers, secure data posture management, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience with enterprise infrastructure/security
• Foundational knowledge of networking, Linux/Windows, cloud computing, and databases
• Hands-on programming and automation using Python/PowerShell and APIs/CLI tools
• AI proficiency to evaluate and secure AI-enabled automation with responsible controls
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support secure, reliable infrastructure services across Linux/Windows, networks, DBs, and cloud environments (Azure/IBM Cloud)
• Develop and maintain automation using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, YAML, APIs, and CLI tools
• Implement and operationalize AI-enabled technologies with proper security, logging and oversight
• Oversee health and integration of data security platforms (Varonis, Prisma Cloud, Cyera, Guardium, Forcepoint)
• Coordinate incident response, problem management, vulnerability remediation, change implementation, and handoffs with GitHub and Artifactory
