Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks a Senior Engineer - Infrastructure Operations, Data Security to engineer, automate, and support secure, resilient infrastructure services across hybrid environments. You’ll collaborate with security, cloud, network, and database teams to modernize operations and reduce risk while enabling AI-enabled automation in a secure, responsible manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience engineering and supporting enterprise infrastructure or security services.
• Working knowledge of data security and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Hands-on programming and automation using Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with APIs, command-line tools, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support secure, reliable infrastructure services across Linux/Windows, networks, databases, and cloud environments (Azure and IBM Cloud).
• Develop and maintain automation using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, YAML, APIs, and CLIs to standardize deployments and monitoring.
• Implement AI-enabling technologies with security, access, logging, testing, and oversight controls.
• Oversee data security platforms supporting posture management, database activity monitoring, and data loss prevention.
• Coordinate incident response, problem management, vulnerability remediation, and changes with proper source control.
