Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Cloud FinOps & AI Automation Analyst to evolve our Cloud Value Office by blending financial management, data analytics, and AI automation to drive cost efficiency and value realization.

You’ll partner with engineering and business teams to translate consumption data into actionable recommendations and help govern cloud spend while delivering measurable business impact.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, technology, analytics, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of related cloud/FinOps experience.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of cloud pricing, consumption, and operational datasets with ability to translate findings into recommendations.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Power BI and with SQL, Python, APIs, and automation.
• Hands-on experience applying generative AI, LLMs, copilots, or agent frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills across financial, business, and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud consumption, cost, utilization, budgets, forecasts, and trends to identify rightsizing and optimization opportunities.
• Develop forecasts, track variances and anomalies, and support cost allocation and showback/chargeback.
• Partner with application owners to translate data into actionable recommendations and validate realized savings.
• Identify, design, prototype, test, and maintain AI agents and automation workflows for repeatable Cloud Office activities.
• Support governance and guardrails including tagging, ownership, budget accountability, and lifecycle management.
