Maximus is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support the POTFF program for USSOCOM, focusing on identifying innovative data-driven solutions to improve the well-being of SOF personnel and families. The role requires strong ML, statistics, and data stewardship across SOF domains, providing SME guidance to units and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 7+ years in data analysis/science.
• Strong knowledge of ML techniques and algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Trees).
• Experience with data science toolkits and data visualization tools.
• Advanced applied statistics and proficiency with SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Interpret results using a range of techniques from data aggregation to advanced data mining.
• Select features and build classifiers using ML methods for improved performance.
• Serve as SME in data/analytics to guidance to analysts and stake-holders.
• Identify suitable decision technology tools (optimization, simulation, regression, trees, neural nets, etc.).
• Forecast trends and maintain reliable predictions; monitor model performance.
