Job summary

Amazon Science is seeking a senior Data Scientist to advance Seller Intelligence within the NBS Data Central team. You will design segmentation and propensity models, build contact quality systems, and productionize ML solutions to influence seller engagement across multiple regions.

You will lead experiments, interpret results for leadership, and explore GenAI applications to automate insights from seller data. This role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and data teams to scale impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data querying languages (SQL) and scripting (Python) or statistical software experience.
• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, economics, engineering or CS.
• Proven end-to-end ML model delivery: problem formulation, feature engineering, training, deployment, monitoring.
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments at scale with rigorous statistical methods.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped science deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with or evaluating AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver seller segmentation and propensity models at scale, including engagement signals and lifecycle stages.
• Build contact quality scoring and lifecycle management systems (coverage optimization, dormancy detection, reactivation modeling).
• Define success metrics, experimentation frameworks (A/B, causal inference) and measurement methodology for seller engagement interventions.
• Productionize ML models and data products with deployment of scores, quality indices, and signals.
• Explore LLM/GenAI applications: automated insight generation from seller data and intelligent report synthesis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and present findings in theme reviews and leadership meetings.
• Work with BIEs to democratize analytics outputs via dashboards and self-serve tools.
