Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist within the Selling Partner Communities (SPC). You will develop and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions to improve the selling partner experience on Amazon, owning technical work from requirements to production while partnering with business teams.

You will lead data collection and analysis, build scalable models, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to deliver high-impact solutions that address complex, real-world challenges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building ML models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and ML.

Responsibilities

• Handle challenging problems that directly impact millions of selling partners.
• Independently collect and analyze data.
• Design, develop and deliver scalable models using ML and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, PMs, and business teams to solve problems and assess risks.
• Consult with engineering teams to design data and modeling pipelines.
• Participate in cross-team design and implementation of initiatives.
• Stay current with LLMs, RL, and agent-based AI, applying findings practically.
