iSoftStone, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in a hybrid role serving enterprise retail accounts in merchandising, supply chain, customer, and pricing analytics.

You will work embedded with client teams, scoping problems, building models, and defending methodologies to business stakeholders who are not data people. Qualifications

• 5+ years data science experience in retail, CPG, or e-commerce.
• Strong SQL and production-grade Python skills (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels).
• Experience with time series forecasting or econometric modeling (elasticity, uplift, incrementality).
• Ability to translate business questions into tractable modeling problems and present results to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery on retail analytics engagements: discovery, data assessment, feature design, modeling, validation, deployment, and results readout.
• Build and productionize models across the retail value chain: demand forecasting, inventory optimization, segmentation, CLV, price/promo elasticity, assortment.
• Design data models and semantic layers on client data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, BigQuery).
• Interrogate data quality and business logic before modeling; identify flaws in returns or channel attribution rules.
• Present findings to director- and VP-level client stakeholders with business impact in margins and GMROI.
• Support pre-sales: solution shaping, estimation, POC design, and technical credibility in client pitches.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute reusable accelerators to the retail practice.
