Overview

Forsyth Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a major retailer for a Senior Data Scientist to strengthen their enterprise data and analytics capability. This is a hands-on role building advanced machine learning models and data products that shape digital and customer-focused transformation. Working closely with business leaders and technical teams, you will deliver intelligent, scalable solutions that drive measurable impact.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics models for high-priority digital and customer use cases
• Collaborate with Lead and Principal Data Scientists to test hypotheses and align models with enterprise strategy
• Extract, prepare, and manipulate structured and unstructured data in large-scale “big data” environments
• Define real-time and batch data requirements, ensuring quality and suitability for advanced analytics
• Build predictive models and generate impactful data visualizations to support decision-making
• Partner with Data Engineering and Solution Architecture teams to implement pipelines and enable seamless deployment
• Contribute to the development of enterprise-wide data assets to accelerate machine learning adoption
• Champion best practices in methodology, coding, and analytics standards
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation within the data science community

Candidate Profile

• Solid hands-on experience in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
• Strong technical background with Python, SQL, and relevant ML frameworks; experience with Google Cloud Platform preferred
• Deep understanding of regression, segmentation, time-series forecasting, clustering, and other statistical approaches
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical findings to non-technical and executive stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across business and technical teams
• Creative problem solver, curious mindset, and passion for emerging technologies
