Job summary

Skylight is a fully remote data science consultancy working with U.S. government clients. This role focuses on AI use-case inventories and enterprise data management, turning policy and reporting requirements into repeatable analytical workflows.

You will turn ambiguous requirements into actionable analyses and dashboards for stakeholders. In this position, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers, applying Python, SQL, and open-source tools to deliver insights while

Qualifications

• Experience with AI systems, modern AI tooling, and enterprise AI model workflows.
• Background in metadata standards, data profiling, and schema validation.
• Ability to identify key questions, communicate ideas, surface opportunities, and drive decisions.
• Ability to preserve privacy and security when performing data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop repeatable data quality checks and standardize metadata across inventories.
• Evaluate and document risks for enterprise AI use cases per governance standards.
• Clean, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources to surface trends and patterns.
• Apply ML and NLP to automate data tagging and metadata enrichment.
• Prepare reporting datasets and create clear dashboards for technical and executive audiences.
• Choose appropriate tools and approaches, prioritizing open-source solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other specialists in cross-functional teams.
