Job summary

ICA.ai, a remote-friendly data science team in the United States, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and deliver ML and AI solutions for healthcare, federal health, and regulated environments.

The role requires strong Python/SQL, experience with unstructured data and NLP, and the ability to own projects from problem definition to production deployment. A Public Trust Clearance is required, and work is remote within EST with DMV-area preference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science or a related field.
• Significant hands-on experience delivering data science or ML systems beyond prototypes.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with solid foundations in statistics and experimentation.
• Experience with unstructured data, document processing, NLP, or LLM-based workflows.
• Ownership of complex projects from data to production deployment.
• Ability to assess data quality and its impact on downstream models and decisions.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, government, or regulated environments is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver ML, analytics, NLP, and generative-AI solutions from data to production outputs.
• Develop multi-stage workflows transforming diverse data sources into actionable outputs.
• Build and evaluate predictive models, analytics, and decision-support workflows.
• Establish data quality, evaluation, monitoring, and governance processes.
• Diagnose weaknesses and redesign or decommission ineffective approaches.
• Collaborate with teams, clients, and leadership to translate requirements into technical solutions.
