Job summary

ICA.ai is hiring a Data Scientist to design and deliver data science and AI solutions for healthcare, federal health, and regulated data environments. A Public Trust Clearance is required, and the role emphasizes ownership from problem definition to production. We will assist with obtaining the clearance.

The candidate will build ML/NLP solutions, transform unstructured data into structured outputs, and contribute to production data pipelines in collaboration with experts and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data science or related field.
• Hands-on experience building data science or AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL with statistics and experimentation foundations.
• Experience with unstructured data, NLP, or LLM workflows.
• Ability to independently execute projects and communicate findings.
• Understanding of how data quality affects models and analytics.
• Experience in healthcare/government or regulated industries is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build ML, NLP, and generative-AI solutions from structured and unstructured data.
• Transform documents and free text into reliable structured outputs.
• Develop downstream data-science workflows for classification and prediction.
• Prepare data, develop features, and evaluate models with validation.
• Investigate data-quality issues and iterate on approaches.
• Contribute to production workflows, monitoring, and reproducible DS practices.
• Collaborate with senior staff and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
