Job summary

BlueFlag is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to translate business problems into ML solutions on Databricks in Azure. You will turn notebook models into production systems, optimize runtimes and costs, and drive AI adoption for clients in the U.S.

Responsibilities include building data products, deploying models, and monitoring performance. You will collaborate with internal teams and present results to leadership, enabling scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems, Business, or related discipline and 15+ years of experience (or commensurate experience)
• Proficient in Python and advanced SQL for data analysis
• 2+ years of hands-on work on cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience across end-to-end data science workflow including experiment tracking and model management
• Solid grounding in traditional ML methods and strong applied statistics

Responsibilities

• Frame business problems as analytical or ML problems, define success metrics and scope
• Build data products and workflows from source data discovery to production deployment
• Migrate workloads from legacy environments to Python and Databricks with measurable gains
• Develop, train, and validate ML models for complex business problems
• Engineer features and build reusable, governed feature pipelines on large datasets with PySpark and SQL
• Track experiments, register models, and manage model versions with MLflow
• Deploy models for batch scoring and real-time serving with CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor models in production for performance, data drift, and data quality
• Lead AI adoption with clients including RAG, document summarization, and classification
• Document models for governance and responsible AI review
• Host office hours and upskill client analysts and data scientists
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
