Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Data Scientist on the Data Team in Mountain View to advance production ML, product analytics, and data-driven product decisions. You will collaborate with Product, Sales, and Engineering to forecast usage, analyze user behavior, and build scalable data solutions.

You will mentor junior data scientists, define project OKRs, and deliver self-serve data tools to empower teams across the company.

Qualifications

Experience applying data science/ML in production to build data-driven products for solving business problems.
Familiarity with product analytics—tracking adoption, churn, cohorts and funnel analysis.
Strong collaboration with stakeholders from Product, Customer Success, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Finance.

Responsibilities

Shape the direction of key data science areas for 2020, including usage forecasting, product analytics, user behaviour and funnel analysis.
Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success and other stakeholders to understand product usage patterns and forecasts.
Manage stakeholders for their focus area—gather changing requirements, define OKRs and milestones, and communicate progress to a non-technical audience.
Mentor data scientists on the team by helping with project planning, technical decisions, and code and document review.
Build self-serving internal data products to make data simple within the company.
