Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Data Scientist to partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to move analytics at speed and shape the roadmap.

You will conduct analyses on ambiguous problems, build, tune, or measure ML models used across Coinbase, and own data definitions, core logging, and visualizations. You’ll guide code reviews, provide SQL and Python expertise, and maintain ETL pipelines with rigorous experimentation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a quantitative field with 5+ years of experience or PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience driving data science projects in ambiguous spaces.
• Ability to turn data learnings into compelling stakeholder stories.
• Practical expertise applying complex modeling frameworks to business problems.
• Professional experience using SQL and Python.
• Experience with digital products in an iterative development cycle.
• Demonstrated alignment with Coinbase cultural values.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities
