Job summary

Polymarket is hiring a Senior Data Scientist/Analyst to partner with the product team and own product insights end-to-end. You will define success metrics, design experiments, and interpret results in a fast-moving environment where releases ship quickly.

You will bring 7+ years in product analytics or data science, expert SQL, and hands-on experience with event tracking and experimentation to guide product direction and improve user engagement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product analytics, data science, or a similar role supporting a consumer or trading product.
• Expert SQL.
• Deep experimentation experience with production A/B tests.
• Strong product sense to form hypotheses from funnels, not just describe numbers.
• Hands-on experience defining event tracking and instrumentation.
• Comfort with ambiguity in scoping questions into real analyses.
• Strong communication to explain analyses to a non-technical audience.
• Experience with data science in Python or R is a plus.
• Experience with trading, marketplaces, or two-sided products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers as the analytical owner for product.
• Define metrics to determine whether a feature worked and report when it did not.
• Design, instrument, and read A/B tests end-to-end, including sample size and guardrails.
• Build funnel and behavioral analyses to show how users find a market and make trades.
• Turn user behavior into product direction and surface drop-offs and friction.
• Own event tracking specs and partner with engineers to land instrumentation correctly.
• Work with analytics engineers to promote analyses into modeled datasets.
• Write end-to-end documentation so teammates can reuse analyses.
