Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Data Scientist to empower the Operations Quality Data Analytics group with predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine-learning methods. The role oversees end-to-end data science applications, studies, and POCs, driving data-driven decision-making across the AbbVie network.

You will collaborate with data scientists, business partners, and IT, mentor junior staff, ensure data integrity, and adhere to GMPs and regulatory guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Econometrics. Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years' experience in analytics, manufacturing data analytics, data mining, or statistical modeling in a cGMP-related industry.
• Knowledge of global regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical and medical devices.
• Proficiency with statistical software and programming languages (R, SAS, Python, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, senior leaders, and business partners.
• Consult with users to analyze requirements and propose data-driven solutions.
• Develop advanced data analytic models using supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, and predictive methods.
• Mentor and coach junior team members; ensure study integrity and reusable insights.
